Investing in meaningful experiences for our community and future generations of performing artists

Seattle Theatre Group Education and Community Programs extend beyond The Paramount and Moore Theatre stages and into the lives of the greater Seattle community. Each season STG offers over 50 education programs impacting 20,000 students and community members from diverse ages and backgrounds.

These programs:
  • deepen significance to performances through opportunities to engage with artists
  • inspire youth and local artists through training & performance opportunities
  • provide exposure to the arts through access initiatives

MORE MUSIC AT THE MOORE - SEEKING TEEN MUSICIANS!
SUBMISSIONS DUE JANUARY 15, 2009!

Seeking teen musicians to perform in More Music @ The Moore on May 8, 2009 at The Moore Theatre. The performance features exceptional local teen musicians mixing up diverse music styles and provides musicians, regardless of what style they play, the opportunity to make music together. DISNEY'S THE LION KING
Arts & Nature Family Workshop
Saturday, January 24, 2009, 9:30 am-12:30 pm
Woodland Park Zoo Education Department

(Zoo’s South Entrance, intersection of N 50th St and Fremont Ave N)

In this three part family workshop, children and parents will explore the African continent through mask-making, song and dance and an African wildlife zoo tour. Families will have access to the zoo for the remainder of the day. A great holiday gift for the whole family!

Recommended Ages: 5-8 with adult (children under five not recommended)

Cost: $45 per adult/child pair; $10 for each additional child; additional parent no charge.

Schools are invited to attend a lecture/demonstration with tap legend Savion Glover! Savion Glover’s BARE SOUNDZ is an exuberant celebration of tap dance to sound, and sound to dance. Using tap as song, Glover merges acoustical vibrations including beats from Jazz, Caribbean and other contemporary musical genres. More information on student programs here.
